12:09P k that crisis is behind me

but anyway, apparently it is a thing that when you buy a lot before building a home, sometimes your lender will base your escrow off the land value only. if construction begins after jan 1, we won't pick it up until later on in the year. then your escrow is not enough to cover the tax bill once the home gets picked up (you're not just being charged for the land only anymore) and you can get priced out of your house. i guess this is the new version of the sub-prime loan scam.

2:40p i want to spin some yarn rn. i have all this lion's brand homespun stuff that i'm not in love with texture/size wise but i loooooooooooooooove the colors. i saw a how-to on how to render it down to fiber and a tutorial on how to build your own drop spindle. this might be a good primer in how to spin my own stuff. like i kickstarted an electric mini wheel and have some fiber i drunk-bought at the rennaisance faire this past year. i think i might like that red/orange one i bought a lot more if i could get a good texture out of it.
